Is it for me?
This qualification has been designed to help learners develop the skills and knowledge needed to work in the IT sector and to develop practical skills in preparation for employment or progression in education. You will also be expected to undertake a Work Skills Award and attend Functional Skills classes in English, Maths and IT.
What job could I get afterwards?
You could work in a variety of settings that cover the IT sector. For example, working as an office junior, data entry, in customer services and as an administrative clerk. There are opportunities of continual professional development once your operational experience and knowledge develop.
What other opportunities will I have?
You could continue your studies and gain further qualifications at level 2 and 3 and possibly progress to university and study within IT systems, web design and IT maintenance. You could also work as a volunteer to build up your skill set and experience.
Where will I learn?
You will learn in dedicated classrooms through a variety of planned lessons and workshops with the possibility of signing up for relevant volunteering activities.
When will I learn?
You will be required to attend college at least 3 days a week.

Entry Level 3 literacy (requires successful completion of speaking listening, reading and writing or internal assessment).
