This degree examines national and international security in the context of war and peace between and within countries.
At level one, you’ll take five core modules and one unrestricted module, including Introduction to Political Analysis, Comparing Modern Politics, Introduction to Security Studies, An Introduction to Western Political Thought and The Politics of Globalisation.
You’ll study processes that affect all societies, such as globalization. Modules include: The Role of Power and Diplomacy in International Affairs; Present and Future Sources of Conflict and Instability; The Conditions for Peace.
You’ll also learn about the origins and evolution of the international political and security system. You’ll consider contemporary challenges and look at world political and security events from a variety of perspectives.
We also offer this course as a four-year degree with employment experience.
