Winner of the National Diversity Awards 2013
Entrepreneur of Excellence Award for Race, Religion & Faith
Jessica founded Color blind Cards, the UK’s most successful multicultural Greeting Card and Gift Company. They made history in 2007 as the first company to secure a presence for a black card range in the UK high-street. Passionate about reinforcing self esteem in the next generation and celebrating identity, Color blind Cards was essential on a social level and opportune on a commercial level. The launch was widely covered by media from The Independent newspaper and the Evening Standard. Not content with breaking ground, in South Africa cards were sold through a high school with 50% of funds going directly to the school to fund tables and chairs. Six years later and the brand are set to launch on Staples.com and will enter Sainsbury’s supermarkets later this year, signalling another first for the card market and a welcome step towards diversity in the British high-street.
