Auto Trader has changed dramatically over the last decade. We’re no longer a used car magazine. We’re an ever evolving, multi-faceted digital marketplace that helps our audiences to buy and sell vehicles more easily. We’re all about innovation, technology, and data and insight. You’ll be joining the team at an exciting time.  We’ve developed a new brand proposition that will help us to acquire new audiences, build better relationships with our customers (dealers), and act as a call to arms for our employees. We’re working on a programme of marketing activities that will challenge our audience’s perceptions of the brand and reposition Auto Trader as the progressive, innovative digital business we are today.  You will have the opportunity to come in and make an immediate impact.

To achieve your objectives, you will collaborate with both Product and Channel leads to develop integrated and aligned ATL and digital marketing plans to support the brand strategy. Operationally you will lead a variety of marketing campaigns to support the business area and objectives, you will lead cross-channel reporting (and data analysis using Google Analytics).

In addition to the above you will manage external creative and media agencies to deliver against plans and KPIs as well as manage key stakeholder relationships across marketing, product & tech, and sales & service to deliver against agreed marketing plans.

We’re not looking for someone who can regurgitate marketing text books. We’re looking for a pragmatic marketer who thinks of channels as a means to an end – and is focused on delivering tangible results that support our business objectives – working with us to change how marketing of a market leading digital consumer business is done. You will have a passion for brand and all things digital, with a proactive mind-set and a strong willingness to learn.

You will enjoy a fast-paced environment and be comfortable managing multiple projects and working to tight deadlines. While it’s not essential, previous experience working on TV campaigns would be favourable.

You’ll be a natural collaborator and work closely with internal teams (research, performance, editorial, design, PR, product) as well managing external agencies, and will need to drive brand marketing internally. You’ll relish getting into the detail and identifying opportunities, developing strategies, and will be an exceptional executer.

You’ll be able to influence your stakeholders, think strategically and also have the ability to drop into the details with ease – always being an ambassador for the brand. You’ll need a willingness to try new things and not be afraid to fail whilst learning fast.
