Full-Time Electrical Project Manager

Job Description

Our engineering services business is looking for a ‘Project Manager” to join the team on one of our projects in London.

To be responsible for the section of works allocated to him by the Senior PM and Produce regular section reports & manage the financial reporting system for his area. You r role will be the electrical PM for the infrastructure.


  • Be able to lead and drive a team to meet milestones and programme end date
  • Be experienced in a PM role for electrical infrastructure
  • Familiarise and understand the contract programme and the mode and method strategy
  • Represent the company at meetings, promote the correct company image and ensure staff are aware of their responsibilities in this area.
  • Assist in the management of design consultants (where applicable)  to ensure information is provide to suit the procurement strategy and that the production of working drawings is completed within given timeframes
  • Add value to the design process by challenging solutions, methods and techniques where appropriate to improve build ability and reduce whole life costs.  Review elements of CDM to ensure that construction works can be maintained safely after construction has been completed.
  • Manage the trade contractors including the production of working drawings, procurement and prefabrication and performance on site.
  • Ensure good communications within the project and regularly brief other team members. Provide regular written progress reports to monitor performance and highlight deficiencies at an early stage.

We’re looking for:

  • Experienced and technical knowledge in electrical HV, MV and LV infrastructure
  • Experience as a lead appointed person for electrical switching
  • Experience working on similar type project that this application refers is fundamental.
  • Coordinate/liaise with other trades on the project
  • Excellent working knowledge of materials, specifications and industry working practices
  • Background base with a main services contractor
  • Educated to HNC level is preferred
  • Likely to hold relevant professional qualification is preferred.
  • Previous PM experience on large complex
