Job Description

Fire Alarm Service Engineer

We are looking for a Fire Alarm Engineer to carry out Fire Alarm and Safety system services across our Metropolitan Police Facilities Management contract in London.


  • Carry out work such as Fire Alarm Maintenance, Custody Alarm Maintenance (Panic Alarms Systems and Cell Call systems), Hose Reel Maintenance, Fire Damper Maintenance, Air sampling (Aspirating System) Maintenance,
  • Carry out Fault finding on aforementioned systems,
  • Respond to Reactive and remedial works to any of the detailed systems, installation of new and replacement systems inclusive of commissioning.
  • Assist with Fire Extinguisher demonstrations with Fire Officer.

 We’re looking for:

  • Minimum of Electrical/Mechanical City & Guilds, Part 1 and 2 or ’A’ and ’B or equivalent, FIA Training in fire alarm servicing and maintenance, Fire alarm commissioning, Multi-skilling capability desirable. 
  • Desirable to have Health and Safety Training and Specialist training i.e. PASMA, IPAF etc.
  • FIA certification including Fire alarm Maintenance and Servicing, FIA Certification in Fire alarm commissioning
  • Good Understanding of BS5839.
  • Client Customer facing experience
