Health and Safety is an important function to every aspect of our business operations. Over the past 11 years, we’ve developed a Safety Management System so that it is aligned with our key business objectives. In support of this, the Health and Safety team has become a centre of excellence with a strong reputation and account facing structure, dedicated to assisting the business to achieve high standards in occupational risk management.

Your key responsibilities

– development of overarching policies and procedures on all matters of Health and Safety with the Group Head of health and Safety,
– maintain a robust safety and resilience management system within Sky,
– working closely with key stakeholders at all levels to achieve practical, efficient and effective compliance with all relevant legislation and appropriate standards throughout the group, UK&I, Germany and Italy,
– continually develop the Sky approach to health and safety with the Health and Safety team and other stakeholders,
– engage with business partners and Sky personnel to ensure the systems are appropriate to the business and at least meet our expectations on agility,
– create and implement processes to ensure the management system remains robust and up-to-date and are continuously improved,
– act as subject matter expert in the development and realisation of implementation programmes rolling out the suite of best in class systems, 

Your Skills

– previous experience of working in a diverse, fast paced environment. You’ll have excellent communication skills and have experience influencing key stakeholders within the business.
– demonstrate evidence of strong interpersonal skills in order to establish credibility with colleagues and to foster effective working relations with a wide range of senior internal and external contacts.
– experience in a similar role. You will be expected to be NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent as well as ISO / OHSAS implementation and auditing.
– a focus on developing and implementing best in class systems will be key, along with great attention to detail and the ability to prioritise projects according to business focus.
