We are looking for an enthusiastic doctor to join our Trust as a LAS CT ENT doctor for 6 months fixed term until 31/07/2019. The post is based at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, which is close to the beautiful Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, and also the seaside, so this really is a great place to live and work!

This post offers excellent opportunities for a doctor wishing to enhance their CV and increase experience in ENT. As the successful candidate you will be expected to cover the daytime on call Rota, the ward rounds, ward attenders, assist in theatre or perform simple ENT cases under supervision.

Although this is not a training post, you will be assigned an educational and clinical supervisor who will provide support, career guidance and mentoring. There will be access to an e-portfolio to document work-based assessments and reflective learning completed during this time.

In addition, the Trust is committed to the educational development of surgical staff and candidates will have access to study leave, exposure to clinics and theatres, teaching and have the opportunities to undertake audits. Lancaster is a small city, with a lot of history, and has a popular University. There is so much to see and do, and you will have plenty of leisure activities to choose from. The area has good schools, and there are excellent road and rail links to the rest of the country.

The University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust has a keen interest and extensive involvement in Medical and Dental Education at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. We work in partnership with Lancaster Medical School, North Western Deaneryand Health Education North West to provide quality education and training which meets the requirements of these regulatory bodies as well as the Trust’s high standards of patient care. UHMBFT provides one of the main NHS settings for students from Lancaster Medical School as we co-ordinate, deliver and quality assure the clinical component of Lancaster Medical Schools MBChB degree programme.

Salary:£31,217 – £41,300 per annum
