As part of this, we are now recruiting a Marketing Consultant to join the team in our Bromley office on a full time, fixed term contract basis.

Purpose of the role:

To support the Marketing Manager through comms development and execution, reviewing performance of media lines against plan & optimising as required, to deliver agreed business targets ensuring all parts of the business are engaged & executing as appropriate

What being a Marketing Consultant involves:

Being Creative:

  • Brief and develop creative work, and execute across media lines, managing marketing manager, compliance and legal feedback and cross business sign off process (including both internal and external approvals) to ensure final output aligns with  marketing comms objectives
  • Develop supporting content ( PR, Social and Experiential ) to align to brand and comms objectives as outlined in strategy

Messaging:

  • Co-ordinate development of messaging led by the propositions, brand and business teams to ensure this is fit for purpose to drive trading performance and brand objectives
  • Work with Financial promotions and legal teams on appropriate terms and conditions that support the creative and lead messaging, and co-ordinate implementation across agency and wider marketing teams

Media Line Management:

  • Ensure media bookings and schedules are implemented as per approved communications plan
  • Challenge media agency recommendations to ensure fit remains current within overall marketing plan and trading outlook
  • Control budget planners, flagging overspend /under spend and recommend actions

Campaign analysis:

  • Collate weekly KPI updates and interrogate results to help influence action plans. Provide interpretation and commentary on responses and forecasts and a summary of the DR activity on a weekly basis and for overall monthly summary reporting.
  • Analysis, reporting and interpretation of business performance to inform changes to overall marketing plan ( and inform testing strategy )
  • Share performance results and the impact on test plans with DL marketing, stakeholders, insight & effectiveness teams
  • Attend trading meetings as and when required to on marketing  performance and represent Marketing Manager where necessary

Cost centre coordination:

  • Support marketing manager in reconciliation of  product marketing budgets by managing and raising PO ‘s against agreed plans
  • Ensure PO’s are supplied and raise queries and challenge costs which fall outside of budgeted plan.

Capacity planning relationship:

  • Ensure marketing activity plans are updated and distributed monthly and inform impact of any changes across wider marketing  and operations team e.g. marketing insight, DM and CCO.

Provide Risk Management:

  • Ensure awareness and compliance of self and team with the rules and requirements of the FSA and any other relevant legal/regulatory/risk management frameworks
