Job Description

Royal Lancaster Infirmary Pharmacy Department would like to invite registered Pharmacy Technicians to apply for an innovative NEW post that involves working with our nursing colleagues at ward level providing a medicines administration service to our patients.

The SIX posts involve participating in the morning and lunchtime medication rounds, ensuring that patients receive all required medications including critical medicines, stocking up the medicine trolleys and cupboards and providing a full one stop and discharge service from the bedside.

As this is a new initiative the posts are subject to 12 month fixed term contracts

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
