We are looking to recruit a passionate Research Analyst who is a self-starter with a keen interest in advertising and has some market research/data analytics experience.

 

As our Research Analyst you will work within the Media Analytics team. The aim of the team is to understand how individuals act digitally and to see how this affects their behaviours and attitudes through asking and observing, as well as looking to connect Nielsen data sets in order to create compelling stories for our clients.

 

Our projects vary from understanding customer journeys to creative positioning. E.g:

  • Reach: We help our clients understand how to effectively target their consumers by understanding online shopper behaviour and aid media owners to capture ad revenue
  • Resonance: We help our clients evaluate the success of their marketing campaigns, especially digital and TV, and improve future campaigns. Our Digital advertising effectiveness evaluation e.g. incorporates survey, real time and panel analytics data
  • Reaction: We calculate how consumers react to marketing campaigns: Did online drive offline sales?

 

As a Research Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading day-to-day project management for projects with support from senior members of the team.
  • Key project management activities include:
    • Supplier briefing and fieldwork management
    • Regular client communication regarding progress / issue resolution
    • Setting up questionnaires and working collaboratively with the team to advise on optimal design
    • Working and briefing internal teams
    • Data checking and reporting (specifying report needs, charting, formatting, data checking)
  • Supporting senior members in creating and delivering actionable insights
  • Supporting senior members of the team on new business activity / proposals / innovation

To be successful in this position, you will ideally need (not in order of importance):

  • A genuine passion and curiosity for research and analytics
  • Interest in advertising and media
  • To be good at building relationships, internally and externally
  • To be a strong team player
  • To have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • To be able to analyse data
  • To perform work accurately and effectively with high attention to detail
  • To have the ability to effectively prioritise and balance multiple projects
  • To be literate and proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Primary research experience, ideally with online studies
  • To be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a business discipline or equivalent business experience
