At Digital Platforms, we are responsible for delivering many of the Sky web and mobile experiences to our customers, including for Sky Sports and Sky News across Europe.These are some of the biggest digital experiences around, and deliver a top quality service to well over 30 million unique users on a monthly basis.Digital Platforms is also part of the larger Sky family, which includes our broadcast teams amongst others, who we also work with closely to ensure that there is a holistic approach to support.

You’ll work to create and execute testing activities to ensure new or amended services meet requirements.

Key responsibilities:

– Responsible for testing activities, ensuring applications meet requirements

– Liaise with product owners and stakeholders to review acceptance criteria and specifications

– Write test plans and specifications in-line with test strategies

– Responsible for rigorously planning, writing, executing and automating test scripts

– Provide reports on testing results, coverage and make recommendations where necessary

– Liaise with support and development teams to boost performance and overall product effectiveness

– Assist in removing technical impediments encountered by the team

– Conduct code-commits/merges to keep test suites and test harnesses up to date

– Perform a range of behavioural driven development (BDD) activities

Key skills:

– Good understanding of automated functional testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Webdriver, Appium)

– Exposure to object-oriented programming languages (e.g Java, JavaScript, PHP)

– Good understanding of popular source control and common branching and commit strategies

– Knowledge of common CI/CD build & release tooling

– Familiar with integration testing tools (e.g Postman, Fitnesse)

– Knowledge of Web Application Debugging Tools (e.g. Charles)
