Winner of the National Diversity Awards 2012
Positive Role Model Award for Age
Michael’s passion, enthusiasm, dedication and commitment to help change the lives of students who often have had troubled pasts is truly inspiring. Students need role models to be able to understand more about life and how they can achieve their goals. Michael uses his own life experiences to help shape the lives of those he teaches.
The learners in Michaels care have benefited greatly and he has motivated them to get actively involved in charity and volunteer community projects aimed at supporting a wide range of people such as those with a disability, less privileged children and adults or single unemployed mothers who struggle to afford fresh food for their children.
Michael’s charity work and his passion for helping others is outstanding and deserves to be recognised – congratulations Michael.
