This exciting new degree reflects the nutritional demands of 21st century society. The nutrition and food industries are among the largest in the world and are always in need of knowledgeable graduates. Nutrition is a contemporary issue that affects everyone; the link between what we eat and how healthy we are is becoming increasingly significant. We live in a world where the diet of an ageing population is key to preventing illnesses including diabetes, heart disease and cancer. The precise nutritional intake of sportspeople is also becoming more technical and exciting. Completing this degree would give you the skills to pursue a career in nutrition, sport and exercise, health promotion or product development. Graduates could also progress onto postgraduate studies in areas including dietetics, food innovation, research or public health.
